CHALLENGE
Cisco’s Global Software Audit Initiative stands as a cornerstone of its software transformation strategy, aimed at achieving multiple strategic goals: boosting revenue, enhancing compliance and brand recognition, reducing grey market impacts, mitigating compliance risks, and fostering positive customer behavior changes.
Within this framework, my leadership role in the EMEAR region’s Software Audit Initiative (in partnership with Deloitte, KPMG, and internal Cisco teams) focused on identifying compliance risks, enhancing customer technology utilization, and discovering new business opportunities.
APPROACH AND RESULTS
I steered the conversation from data to business insights and enhanced strategic value through:
Optimized Customer Technology Utilization: My approach transformed raw data into actionable business insights and increased the value customers derive from Cisco solutions. Of equal importance, we ensured compliance with legal and security standards, effectively mitigating potential risks.
Identified Revenue Growth Opportunities: My analytical efforts contributed to uncovering significant cross- and up-sell opportunities, leading to Cisco experiencing regional revenue growth.
Strengthened Customer Relationships: I utilized compliance and optimization insights as touchpoints for ongoing customer engagement, reinforcing Cisco’s commitment to delivering value and upholding top security and compliance standards.
Enhanced Brand Integrity and Risk Management: In collaboration with Compliance and Brand Protection teams, I initiated efforts that improved Cisco’s legal and operational risk brand visibility. By assessing the impact of third-party maintenance providers, I played a key role in protecting and enhancing Cisco’s competitive edge in the market.
